It seems like I'm not the only CCR/Fogerty fan on this list.

John Fogerty is still active - thank God - and released in 1997 the
Grammy-winning Blue Moon Swamp album, one of his best ever, and in 1998 a
live album, Premonition, including many of the CCR classics.

John spent a good part of the 80s and early 90s with legal feuds with Saul
Zaentz and Fantasy Records.
He was sued because of the songs Zanz Kant Danz and Mister Greed from the
Centerfield album from 1985, both songs more or less aimed at mr. Zaentz,
and he was sued for self-plagiarism for The Old Man Down the Road, which
Fantasy claimed was a copy of the old CCR song Run Through the Jungle.
(This is like saying that Chuck Berry only wrote one song and plagiarized
himself ever after). John won the plagiarizm case, I'm not sure about the
others.

Around 1980, John Fogerty gave Fantasy Records all his future artist
royalties to get off the label and swore never to play the old songs again.
He changed his mind in 1987, performing some of the CCR hits at a Vietnam
Veterans benefit concert, and the concerts after his last comeback have all
featured a large portion of the old songs, even songs that were not
performed live in the old days.

The latest rumour (still unconfirmed) is that Fogerty is going to be a
guest star or opening act for Tina Turner on her European summer tour.
Seeing her and John singing Proud Mary would be great. I'd better get a
ticket for her Copenhagen concert.

Olympus content: I've taken quite a few good concert pictures of John
Fogerty using my old XA (smuggled in, as cameras were not allowed)

Kepp on chooglin'
