Remove the Shoe 1 (the one that says "fix") and blow the hole out.  If the
sync circuit is shorted, the ready light will not come on.  Also, try
slipping the charged flash into the shoe 1 in this condition.  the flash may
discharge as it is slid into the shoe.
If blowing the hole out does not work, the the internal sync circuit is
shorted, requiring service.
