Tis true,
My Dad flew Lancasters. Had a mechanical background. Thought the Merlin
required far too much maintenance to keep in the air. His ground crew spent
hours and hours just to keep the thing running. Have heard the same comment
from Spit pilots. Mind you they all thought they were great when they did
run right.
OM Content - expect to be shooting some WW2 restored aircraft in the near
future. May get a chance at a few shots of a Merlin.
