If money were no object (somehow I suspect it is) I'd go with the Olympus Zuiko
250/f2 or some other very bright non-zoom lens of about this focal length, on
the theory that faster shutter speeds would let me stop the action and that not
being able to play with the focal length would keep my attention on the
composition. It's 10 degree angle of view is about right for full coverage of a
5 foot tall soccer player at 30 feet. (quickly using my extended thumb - a
"standard" approximator of 2 degrees - to check out what coverage 10 degrees
would be at various distances)
