Dirk,

Just a thought. Of course I'm hyped up on the recent Kodak literature
and coupons they've sent me lately. But if I were going to shoot some
night shots and did not have some of those speedy bright expensive Zuiko
glass we all crave, I would try the new Kodak E200 and push process to
EI 1000 or P3. According to Kodak there will be no loss of quality (or
graininess) if properly done by a good push process E6 lab. Of course
they will normally charge you a buck or two more per roll for this, but
maybe take one roll and give it a try. If you don't we will have to
wait a 1000 years to get the next chance. It even has "superb
reciprocity" at this setting. They say to do a test roll with your lab
for ideal performance. Since I shoot about as many night shots as I do
of snow in Southern California, it would be nice to know how well
Kodak's claim will hold up if I ever have to shoot at night. I was
thinking of keeping a roll of this in the freezer just for that rare
occurrence. According to Kodak this E200 will give better results at P3
(1000) than any 100 rated film at P2.

Most 800 speed negative film that I have scanned (MAX) has enough grain
showing on my scanned images to store in silos and sell to Russia.

Just my thoughts. Kodak has not bribed me except they have been sending
me some neat samples lately.
