As a long-term student of Olympus pricing I can't accept this blanket
statement. In what sales venue? Do you have data to support your conclusion?

Well, data about the future is not so easy to find. We can look at
other systems that bit the dust, such as Konica or Pentax screw mount
to get some idea of what might happen. I think the outcome for Pentax
screw mount users is more favorable than it was for Konica SLR users.

But the OM-4T has had a longer "official" market life than most Nikon
bodies, as Oly hasn't really brought out the OM-5T, but just kept the
4T going. I was serious considering switching to a different system
for 35mm work, but as most of what I shoot is medium format, I decided
I didn't want to fork out alot of $ for a system I used for about 250f
my photography. Olympus seems content to price new OM-4T's in the
stratosphere and keep it on the market a long time, so I don't really
worry about the future that much. If the system dies out, cheap replacement
lenses will be available, and the 4T circuit boards should be available
for repairs for another 10+ years (10 years after it dies out).

As far as the question have prices of used OM stuff fallen in recent years,
I can only go by my own attempts to sell used lenses. 3-4 years ago, I
could sell a Zuiko on teh used market for about what I paid for it on the
used market. Today, it is fairly difficult to sell a Zuiko lens on the used
market for what I typically would have had to and/or did pay for them 4+
years ago. All the evidence I have is that the demand for used Zuikos
is significantly less than it was 4 years ago.

This isn't such a surprise. Mamiya TLR equipment has been falling in
value since Mamiya discontinued it.
