Didn't that motor drive have a battery unit and trigger that suspended
vertically from the grip? I have one that did, and it that case it can be
triggered either from the grip button or the pistol grip battery holder. A
number of recent books from zookeepers and other document the intelligence of
these apes. I have little doubt that Koko was probably a fine photographer. I
still have that copy of National Geographic and it is an OM2 that she is
using.
