I think that the RAF bought them in the mid-80s.  I have refuelled from them
many times.  Their only problem is that the wing has a marked dihedral which can
provide you with a false horizon in poor weather.  Also the centre hose is a
bugger to plug into - not enough references to guide you.

They are quite reliable now.  Funnily enough my son, on his last trip over to
visit us from boarding school (an archaic and cruel punishment that we Brits
inflict on our offspring) the aircraft, a Fokker 50 I think, had to return to
Stansted with an unlocked cargo door.  That affected my son as your trip to
Beirut probably affected you.

OM content: my son has an OM20 ;-)
