Not at all, John. Thanks.

As for "time lag," I can relate. I seem to be pulling off a new release of the
Gallery about once every two months on average, which is very frustrating (I'm
sure) for all the people who send in their submissions near the beginning of
the two-month cycle, and gratifying for those who send in near the end (their
pictures seem to go up "faster"). What's more, every time I post a new set of
submissions, I get a flurry of even more new ones just after the posting, and I
usually can't get to them right away.

For the next two months or so, I'm going to see if I can process the
submissions much more frequently -- once every couple of weeks (or even faster
if I get lucky). I should have the next batch out within the next three days.

Ah, yes, Winter. Curse its cold little weather fronts anyways. In Edmonton,
we have the "Siberian High" which we blame for all the intensely cold days here
-- further south, my American cousins refer to the same weather system as the
"Alberta Clipper." ;-) We got our first serious snow yesterday, Hallowe'en.
(A "serious" snow, by the by, is one that actually lasts longer than 24
hours...). It's plus 5 Celsius (about 40 Fahrenheit) and sunny today, but I
know that evil season's just lurking in the depths of Siberia, waiting. Can't
say I'm looking forward to minus 40 weather again... Mind you, I've had a
chance to tromp around today with an OM-2sp which I picked up last spring,
loaded with Ilford XP2 -- wanna see how it handles all the intense contrasts.
Hope it's got good exposure latitude -- my lovely and charming wife has
consented to do some modeling for me, and I want to use XP2 indoors if I can,
under available light (mostly tungsten). I'm fascinated by the idea of a C-41
colour negative film, with its relatively consistent sensitivity across the
spectrum, being used with dye couplers to make black & white photographs.

P.S.: **WARNING** Totally off-topic question here: does anyone on this List
know how to roast chestnuts? E-mail me off-list, please. Thanks in advance.
