[OM] OM Flash stuff

All,

I've got a couple of questions that I can't find the answers to elsewhere,
so y'all get them!

While taking pics of the kids in costumes last night with my OM2s and a T20,
I noticed that the "exposure successful" light both in the viewfinder and on
the back of the flash would only sometimes indicate that the exposure was
good -- other times it would not do it's rapid flash thing. I tried this in
Program, Auto and Spot/Manual modes, with the T20 in both "Full Control" and
Auto modes. I got no "exposure successful" light on anything but T20 Auto
mode @ f8 and the OM2s in program mode.

Stats: OM2s with a T20 flash mounted on camera. ISO 100 film. All subjects
between 8 and 10 feet from camera. While in auto and program modes I had
the aperture of the lens set at 22 in order to give the camera the most
options.

While I have manuals for both the body and the flash, neither one covers the
exact combination of the OM2s and the T20. The OM manual mentions the T20,
but that's all. The T20 manual gives explicit instructions on the use of
the flash with an OM2, but not 2s.

Also, I haven't processed the film yet to see if ALL of the exposures came
out correctly.

Am I doing something wrong? I tend to be a hard-core manual kinda guy, and
I'm attempting to learn new tricks and take advantage of some of the
automation built in to these expensive bodies we all love so much. But this
intermittent stuff is sending me running back to manual-land quick!

TIA!
