One reason it bothers me is that I don't think George should have to do my
scut work.  If he is willing to do it and I ask him, fine;  but as I am
able to look at the original high res image in Photoshop and compare it
with how the low res image looks through a browser, I should be able to
make the two images appear according to my basic intention and allow George
his time with the family.

I realize that not all participants will have control of these processes
from beginning to end.

I think there is an easy middle course.  George has decided to publish our
web images as they arrive in his mail box.  If people specifically request
him to tweak them, maybe he would be willing to do that.  

What say, George?
