- The OM-20 has a PC flash cord connector - why don't you use that instead of
slave triggering the flash on top of the tank? This may help to reduce
reflections further because the main flash in your setup will also light the
room and you.
- A long collapsable rubber hood that you can press against the glass, or
wearing dark clothes may also help to reduce reflections.
- Using computer flash won't work when the sensor can't be detached - it will be
confused by the reflections from the top glass plate (or the water). Using
manual flash will require a lot of experimenting (bracketing). With a camera and
flash that support TTL flash it is much easier.
- Shooting animals inside a vivarium / paludarium is much easier than inside an
aquarium because the water in a fish tank absorbs so much flash light and tends
to give a green or blue colour cast.
- A nice site that has tips and techniques about aquarium shooting (in the form
of excerpts from various newsgroups) is http://www.thekrib.com/Misc/photo.html
