Back in 1972, I was darkroom tech. at a camera store. This
guy brought in, one afternoon, a plastic bag of camera
parts- a fairly new Leica M3/4.
It had started out as a simple adjustment(?) and had gotten
out of hand. The camera store sent it off to Leica and they
said it would only cost $200
to put things right. The camera owner decided that was too
much and bought a new camera instead- a Canon.

Then theres the story of the guy
who left his Leicaflex on the seat of his car with the
window down in San Francisco. He replaced it with an olympus
OM1 two weeks later.

yours a part-ing shot,

Garry D. Lewis
