The Olympus mail list address has obviously made a SPAM list. I had
trashed the first few, however once an address is found to not bounce it's
like being on a junk mail list that gets shared and/or sold.

One of the things you *absolutely* do *not* want to do is respond or reply
to a "remove me from your SPAM list" address. In addition you *never* want
to reply back to the sender (other than using the "bounced mail" trick
described below). If your reply doesn't bounce, it is used by the SPAMer
to *validate* good email addresses and you are *assured* of receiving even
more SPAM.

The only way to fight SPAM is to track down the ISP it came from and its
upstream provider(s), then complain vehemently and vociferously to both
immediately. This almost always shuts down an individual source (at least
through that ISP). If the ISP won't listen (or doesn't care) threats of
Internet Death Penalty from the ISP's upstream network provider gets the
ISP's attention very fast. I *finally* got rid of unwanted SPAM by using a
combination of that *and* sending a return message that has all the look
and feel of their SPAM having bounced from my address. Some SPAMers also
track bounced email and do periodically clean their mail lists out which
means you eventually get purged.

If we see more, I will start tracking down the ISP(s) it's coming from; I
still have the software used to do it before.
