No, no - an MC filter on an SC lens would be worse than an SC filter because it 
would have a tiny amount more transmission so more light will get into the SC 
lens 
to produce flare.

What you need for an SC lens is a lens cap.  This will prevent light entering 
in 
the first place to cause flare - simple - problem solved.
