The 35-80 f/2.8 is simply the finest zoom in its focal length range. See
Gary R's lens test for his evaluation results. Its sole drawback is its
weight - it's heavy. But this is convienently offset by the severe
lightening of one's wallet <g>. I rate it not only an excellent lens but
one of the best purchases I've ever made.
