What does the M.grip cord do? Allow a shutter button to be pushed on
the flash to operate the camera? Interlock so the camera won't fire
unless the flash is ready?
BTW, did you hear about the OMer who couldn't take a photo of a ghost?
The spirit was willing, but the flash was weak.
