Adorama has a good rep, and Wall St. I've never purchased from the latter,
and it's been years since I've purchased from the former.

Bear in mind that Greenspun is in his own kooky world sometimes himself.
He had a bad experience with Camera World of Oregon (which he'll tell you
ALL about), but by most accounts Camera World is one of the good guys.
The neighbor-to-neighbor discussion is useful. Another way to get an
eyefull is to do a search on "New York camera stores" in Dejanews.
