:I picked up a Cobra md250 multi-dedicated flashgun the other day for
:£10.00 (about $14 US). It has settings for Olympus and other non
:mentionable makes. Now I mistrust all 2nd hand stuff, and before I test
:it on my 4ti, I whacked it on an old om10. It certainly sets the flash
:indicator in the viewfinder. However I seem to remember that when fired
:the om10 indicator flickers if exposure ok, will this gun do that? (It
:doesnt, but that might be because I'm fiddling without a film in the
:om10).

On a camera that supports TTL OTF flash like 4Ti you would never get a flash ok
signal in TTL mode when there is no film loaded because reflectance from the
black camera back is measured. However the OM-10 only supports TTL OTF measuring
for available light - not for flash light. So the only thing you can test on the
OM-10 is computer flash. This should give a flash ok signal in the viewfinder,
with or without film loaded when this "Cobra" flash (never heard of) is 100%
compatible with the T series flashes. Provided of course that selected film
speed and aperture (both set on the flash!) and shooting distance are within the
working range of the flash. To test TTL OTF flash you really must use the 4Ti,
loaded with film.
