: just wondering if anyone knows whether the F280 flash can be used on
bodies
: other than the OM4T(i).

It can be used on any camera.

: I know that Full Synchro can only be used on the 4T variant,

Not true; the OM-3Ti and OM-707 support it also.

: but what happens if you
: try to use an F280 on other models eg OM-2n ?
: Can the flash be used OK just in normal TTL mode?

When the camera supports TTL flash, like the OM-2(n), OM-4 this is
available. When the camera does not, all you have is manual exposure
-( since it doesn't have a built-in normal auto sensor.

: What about a plain OM-4 (non-T) ?
: Will the F280 not-work? will it damage the flash or camera? will it appear
: to work but not control exposure properly?

It will only work in TTL Auto and Manual. Setting it in Super FP mode will
not damage the flash - it will just not fire.
