Yes, they do. I suspect someone tried and failed to recalibrate mine for
alkaline cells...as it's out of calibration even with mercury cells. So, I
need to get someone to calibrate it, or else describe the calibration
procedure...
FWIW, I also have a Gossen N100, which uses a Wheatstone bridge circuit -
and so doesn't care what battery voltage is used. I was a little surprised to
discover the Lunasix doesn't use a bridge.
