Jerry;

Wow, you're the second Oly convert this week. Is this a trend? Will the
mighty Canon shrivel and melt? ... Nah. But welcome anyway.

I'll try to answer, with mainly opinion. The first obvious point is
fairly undisputable: if you're interested in macro, Olympus is the best
choice. Always has been. Check out this web site for a lot of Oly info
and pix of gear and links to more info:

Contax Aria vs 4T? There's another list member, Denton Taylor, who I'll
bet will have something to say on this. Let me just say that the 4Ts'
multi-spot metering is still one of the best metering systems in any
camera. It's designed for someone who knows what they're doing, so it's
not for everyone. I've got 2 of 'em and love 'em. One mans' opinion.

Is Oly still producing? No one here knows for sure. Odds say yes. After
all, some new products have been released in the last few years, eg
2-series screens, OM-3Ti, 35-80/2.8. There is a booming used market for
Olympus. Fueled by folks who haven't figured out what you have about
EOS etc. You can find just about anything you want on the used market.
Although new and used prices are rising. Some say Olympus is moving in
a Leica-like direction.

Anyway, hope this helped a bit.
