When I put my 1n in for a service, the bloke noticed the screw missing
(Tamron 90mm) straight away and commented to be very careful putting the
lens on. If I went too far I would not be able to get it off.

Got it fixed quickly.

Last night, I spent 5 minutes examining the two bodies, then carefully
pressed
the stop down lever on the body out of the way (about 1mm required, and it
had some play already), then turned the mount carefully off. The "metering"
lever (plastic) has a small groove in it, but everything still works fine.
Furthermore, remounting the lens repeatedly, I still can't figure out how he
managed to get it stuck - it works fine for me. (there is a missing stop
screw
in the mount, I discovered, but it still mounts fine.)
