The Modern Photography sidebar I referenced in my previous posting on this
subject said that the 6/4 redesign in the 50mm f/1.8 multicoated SOME elements
in the lens. Given that I already debunked the stated date of change, I offer
their statement with a grain of salt. Olympus might have caught some flack
for partial multicoating in a lens marketed with an MC moniker and by 1984
multicoated every element.

Anyone have any proof to another one of my speculations? Perhaps this
accounts for one of the 5 minor variations of 3 physically identifiable
designs? Frankly I could care less which MC version I'm shooting with. I'm
more interested in the marketing implications. Like if Olympus tried to pull
the wool over our eyes with incomplete multicoating.
