On the OM-2 (and OM-G and OM-PC), at least, the lens mount comes off easily
when you remove the three screws visible from the front. Behind it is the
shutter speed ring. The detent ball bearing for the shutter speed ring is
behind it, with a spring pressing it against the ring. If you carefully and
slowly remove the shutter speed ring, not letting the ball go flying, then
you'll be home free. It's best to do this over a paper towel, so if the ball
drops out, it won't hit something hard and bounce off into the carpet where
you'll never see it again.
