You are right about the F mount. But we can also say that F mount became
"AI" on 1977, AIs on 1982 (if I remember well), AF on 1986, AF-D on 1992.

And AI coupling is very like FTL's...

You cannot attach an old "F" lens on an AIs or AF camera, if this has not a
retractile AI dent. Of the cameras in production, you can put oldest lenses
on F3 and F5 only. Or you need having surgery on your lens.

Reverse is true and you can attach even the newest AF-D or AF-S lenses on
an old F, but without prong you have to meter stop-down only... if the old
meters are still working nowdays...

So the conclusion is that an OM user can attach 1972 lenses on every OM
camera, be it "conventional" or "AF".
