Since I assume you're speaking of Vancouver, I may have some clues on this. At
the Victoria show, most sellers I talked to had quite high regard for Olympus,
but two in particular made comments about how difficult the Canadian
distributor (Carsen Group) had been to deal with when they used to carry
OM products. The suggestion was that this was part of the reason for the poor
sales and subsequent supply of used OM gear in Canada compared to the US. I do
remember a time (late 70s) when Olympus was prominently displayed in all major
retail chains, even department and drug store camera departments (The Bay,
London Drugs). I did not ask for details about the Carsen issue, but found it
interesting that the comment came from two different sources.

Having only handled one K1000, I'm keep selling the OM! Last year, a student
asked for some help loading film in her K1000 - I saw why - the mechanism
seemed very poorly designed, and I had some trouble loading a roll properly.
I've never had this problem on any OM. Also, the body seemed overly large and
clunky for no obvious reason, and the fit and finish seemed very poor compared
to an OM-1.

If it was a newer MC version, this might be an OK price, but I've seen two
older silver rimmed 200/4 lately for $129 in Victoria, both with clean glass,
so $150 is high for a SC version.
This seems quite a common lens, even in OM-deprived Canada, so I'd pass if the
cleaning marks are significant.
