In a message dated 98-09-19 11:53:01 EDT, you write:

<< With the lens reversed, the camera body no longer controls the aperture.
Your lens is wide open all the time unless you move the aperture coupling
lever on the lens mount (which is, now, exposed and pointing toward your
subject) to close it down. With Nikon lenses it's the other way around -- a
Nikon lens stays closed down to the selected aperture when not on the
 camera.

If you want to meter stopped down with little fuss, obtain a Kiron "Match
Mate". One of this pair is the usual 49mm thread to Oly male fitting. The
other part bayonets over the exposed part of your lens and has a stop down
lever so you can compose, meter and shoot at your chosen aperture.
