   Ok, I third Gary and Matthews' advice here. I grew up (ages 3-9) in this 
 area. As I child, I was convinced God lived on Mt.Shasta ;) Very magestic.
 While there, may I recommend Burney Falls and Hat Creek area as well. The
 whole area IS quite beautiful :)
