As pointed out by others, this happens to all cameras of this era. As you
are new, I will repeat a warning about this foam. I live in a climate where
100 degree plus normal during the summer. A few weeks ago it was 109. This
destroys this foam rather quickly, and I am seeing many OM-1s with prisms
damaged by this foam. This will probably start showing up in the later
models soon. The replacement of this particular piece of foam is for an
experienced person.
