Even though the 4 has a semi silvered  mirror, allowing some light through a 
"hole"
to be reflected to mirror box floor for metering, this "hole" is covered by the
secondary mirror, when the mirror(s) go up just before exposure.
I doubt your backlighting is strong enough to  get around this trap, to the 
cell in
the floor to affect exposure.
