Hi Gary and John:
I'm not willing to give away my bargain hunter secrets, but the source of this
lens is a national dealer that I've been buying from for at least 15 years.
(I got my 80 mm F/4.0 Zuiko macro from them for $90). I confimed that the
Vivitar Series 1 600 mm f/8 was still in stock this morning. I'll have to
call tomorrow to see if it comes with the tripod adapter. Gary S. has first
dibs on this if he is still interested tomorrow.
To everyone else:
In so far as I enjoying sharing my knowledge, I'd love to be altruistic and
give away all the OLY sources I've gleaned by going to camera shows, scouring
the Internet, and traveling the country. But there just might be a financial
reward to this after all these years. Lord knows I need one for retirement.
So if anyone wants me to broker a sale for you on something Olympus OM/IS/or
P&S, Large Format, or Canon FD/A-series, just send me a list via private e-
mail, listing what it is you are looking for and what your threshold price is.
I'll charge 7.50verhead if I line you up with a seller, 10 0f I handle the
purchase for you, and 250f whatever price I can get which is lower than your
threshold.
Example: You are looking for a 18 mm Zuiko and are will to pay $500US for it
in Exc. condition or better. I find it for $478 in 9 condition and supply you
with the source. You pay $35.85 commission, plus $5.50 for me finding it
under your threshold price. I might even be open to an OLY swap.
BTW, the 18 mm scenerio is an actual item presently available. You've seen
the kind of prices I've been posting over the months, so I can come up with
the deals.
I'll not say anything more about this, least I get flamed for commercialism on
the List.
