Sounds like y'all had a right smashing good time.

Paria Canyon. Yes, good old Yankee scenery. I went only a couple of miles and
agree with your assessment of pretty but unspectacular.  The slots on Navajo 
land
are much more interesting, although they're getting expensive! In Paria, I did
make one nice keeper of a log about 15' long bridging the canyon about 12' up 
with
nicely colored canyon walls.
Have thought of spending a few days and nights doing the whole canyon, but 
there's
so much more to do in the SW, it just doesn't seem to bubble up in priority.
