I think he's right; they probably want to sell you some kit with lame
accessories that you don't want or need.  As if you can't decide on your
own what you need.

Unavailable means out-of-stock in this case and they can't be bothered
with your business.  Again, go to B&H.  

I did check their website and they have macro lenses listed under macro
accessories.
