Is this true? Only 252 bodys made?

I´ve seen on a camera show, some years ago, one M-1 in a case with an
asortement of M-lenses!
The price was for all much cheaper than this. The aperance of an M model
with many lenses on an obscure camera show in the German province lets
me not belive, that the M-1 is such a rarity.
I´ve seen a list of colectible cameras (US orgin) which listed the M-1
as the only collectible OM system body. Est. price was only sligthly
higher than an OM-1 (30-40% +).

Sorry for the heckling
Richard
