[OM] Cool Lens

Apropos of cool retro style, I'm in the process of negotiating for a 28mm
2.8 Zuiko which currently resides on an OM10 with sticky magnet. (Thanks
once again for all the Oly wisdom gleaned from this list!)

>> Here
>> are a couple of tips for 'coolness on a budget', applied to Zuikos.

This lens has lettering round it that looks really old - it's something to
do with the style of the font and the way it is applied, and also that the
glass is very near the front, rather than set back into the filter thread.
I reckon that it'll make my OM10 look at least 30 years older!

BTW my 'standard' 50mm says AUTO-S while this 28mm says AUTO-W.  I've
looked in the FAQ and at the alternative lens web page but there is no
explanation. What do these labels mean please? Just for completeness, the
28mm has 241168 on it as well - does this date/identify the lens at all?

I may not have a square lens hood, but at least my round rubber one will
fit all my lenses so far :-)

++

PS reading through this I've just twigged that it may mean S/tandard and
W/ide-angle.  Is it that simple?
