Expect lots of strong sunlight. Parts of Oman are quite mountainous
and rugged. Expect these to be brown rather than granite grey.
Expect bright white washed buildings, at least the more traditional
types. There should be good opportunities for architectural
photography, I would take a polarizing filter as this will allow some
nice contrasts between buildings and the sky by darkening the latter.
I am currently trialing Fuji Velvia myself at the moment, but just
going by it's reputation I would take it. There should be plenty of
light for it.
