I'm forwarding this message (along with my own explanations) to a
commercial photographer friend of mine here in Edmonton who has actually
been producing photo calendars for the last couple of years, in runs of
about 10,000 copies, for the Ukrainian community in Alberta (photos of the
many architecturally-interesting Ukrainian churches in Alberta, many of
which he touched up in Photoshop to remove the clutter of some of their
urban environments, such as power lines, street signs etc.).  He may have
some useful, pithy comments, which I will post to this list if appropriate.
