I guess I may follow on Carl Turner's example and open a Certificate
Program for Olympians/Zuiks aspiring to achieve a certain level of
proficiency in compulsive OM/Zuiko buying. Once "certified", the lucky
graduates may go on an OM/Zuiko consumption binge. Thereafter, pls
contact Carl's famous "Betty Maitani-Ford Clinic" for treatment. ;-)

That was actually an early 1000/f11 Zuiko, non-MC (serial# 100060!).
I understand that it sold to another dealer for far less than the
above.

Other unusual items I spotted:
(a) 600/f6.5 Zuiko -- quickly sold for $1000 cash;
(b) 400/f6.3 Zuiko with OM-1 body -- $1025 asking price (should be a
tough sell).

Actually, my notoriety was much less than usual, as many large
LA/So.Cal dealers failed to show up in San Mateo. You should see
me work the room at Buena Park and Pasadena shows! ;-)

It was nice to meet Dan (and all the other folks too!). The SF
Bay Area has by far the largest number of computer-literate
Zuikoholics, although in terms of OM populace per square mile,
Utrecht in Holland probably holds the top spot.

Actually, Jim is too timid in telling this story. The truth is that
Jim approached the vendor, asked for OM items, then gently rubbed
his Zuiko lens, thereby causing the genie Schloss to "materialize".
As the vendor only had a new Tokina RMC 2X TC (for $100, no less!),
Jim's wish could not be granted. Oh well, maybe next time... ;-)

Cheers,

/Gary Schloss.
