Does anyone know what the risks are of having "exposed" and "unexposed" 
Compact Flash cards scanned at airport carry-on-baggage security counters?

Airport X-ray scanners are said to put developed and undeveloped film at 
risk. Is there any comparable risk in respect of digital camera memory 
cards?

If security counter scanners do pose a risk to memory cards is there any 
speculation about which airports are riskier than others? In particular I am 
interested in Gatwick Airport in England.
