'Reliable' as long as the cam on the lower shutter gear (which is welded on) 
doesn't break off. I have seen this on the 4 but am not sure if the 3 shares 
the same problem.  This defect would cause complete shutter jamming that 
couldn't be freed up from the bottom of the camera.
