The first week of October was partly about art and literature—we opened an
exhibition at the office, by a local artist Dani Pastor, and we got together to
watch a livestream of the literature Nobel prize announcement—and partly about
continuing protests against the high housing costs. I photographed a huge
encampment on Madrid’s Plaza Puerta del Sol in week 40, and this week I visited
a similar (but smaller) event here in Alicante. All completely peaceful,
nothing at all like the current troubles in France. It’s all here:
