Thanks for the responses. After a little research the Starlink AI chat
had the best info. (trust but verify) I can add my house network router
by hooking up the CAT6 to the second RJ45 port on the mini router as I
was hoping. The mini router will still be doing it's thing so I'll
have super coverage all over the yard and beyond as well as the house.
Might be able to get rid of some of the repeaters I have around. I can
still use the phone app with the mini router. Now I have to run CAT6
from under the house up to the router which won't be a problem since I
already have the conduit thru the walls. Just fish the wire. And drill
a hole thru the wall of the out building for conduit. Figure out the
pinout for a CAT6 jack and make up the ends. My son-in-law says that
he'll crawl under the house so I just need to pull wire. What can go
wrong?
FWIW SL has the antenna pointing 300°. A quick check with Stellarium
shows where all the satellites are. They seem to be going in
criss-crossing orbits. Which gives better coverage I guess.
I have the Standard 4 Kit. Perfect for a travel kit if you are looking
for something. I ordered a pole mount so I can get the antenna up at
least 3m.
