Wrocław is a city in south-western Poland, known by its German name Breslau
before 1945. It is the city where I was born and where my sister still lives.
In May 1945 it lay in ruins after a fierce 2-month battle against the advancing
Red Army. Today it is a thriving, dynamic city of some 650,000 inhabitants,
blending its German heritage with modern Polish culture. I visited for a few
days in September. Some of the places in this gallery are places I showed
before, but others are new, especially a fantastic art exhibition by a Polish
painter whose life was cut short in mysterious circumstances at the age of just
27. I also photographed for the first time a remarkable outdoor sculpture in a
part of town where I do not normally walk around. It is all here:

And as always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated.
