Summer in Scotland this year was September 19. We were lucky to be there. (Yeah
I know not technically summer.)
We were there the 24th, left 10/3. Hardly any sunbathing weather, but nice most of the time. A little bit of rain on
Mull and Iona, never when it mattered, and oh, the rainbows! Overcast and windy for Edinburgh Castle, rather
appropriate, and only rained afterward, while we were lunching in a lovely Italian restaurant, Bella Italia.
(On 9/19, we were at friends' house on a pond in Maine, hanging out on the dock, watching and listening to the Loons. Oh
yeah, turtles, too, and dinner from Tubby's, on another pond.)
