Coma is very well controlled wide open--I bet would be good. It is very flat
field and the APO seems to allow it to distinguish very subtle gradations in
color of
vegetation. The oof rendering a structured/busy especially wide open. I don't
know if it would be better for astro than the GM 35/1.4 but I do really like
the CV apo lanthar series. It's MFD performance is also excellent with the
floating design.
