Definitely!

I drove past a couple moose on the way into work this morning. One was
grazing on the brush next to the highway, and the other was on
somebody's front lawn.. It's always a double-take thing. You just
don't get used to the fact that these wild (and potentially deadly)
creatures are perfectly comfortable living in the city.

With both moose and bears, they are almost always pretty close by. You
don't always see them when hiking, but they know you are there. It's
funny because the area right around the airport is one of the most
concentrated bear habitats in the entire state and is a popular
recreational area. (Kincaid Park). There is always a conservation
officer on hand at the airport because they have to chase bears and
moose off the taxiways. The biggest problem we have with the city
bears is they won't hibernate as long as food sources are available
and in the city, there are always food sources available!

A couple days ago I was driving into work and noticed the departing
747s were doing east departures instead of the normal 33 departure.
About the only time they shut down 33/15 is because of a moose. Moose
don't seem to care if it's a 747-8F about to turn them into red mist.
Wolves are probably their only natural enemy and they don't attack
from above.
