Bees seem to like 'em, Jim. The flowers only last a day though. The bark
becomes highly variegated and the leaves become bright red in the Fall---so 4
season interest. In retrospect I think one of the purple foliage Redbuds or a
Plum
might have been preferable. They are more subject to maladies in our area
though.
