     The author Dean Koontz predicted this back in 1981 in his novel "The Eyes 
of Darkness".  In it, a weaponised virus is developed in central China and gets 
loose.  It's name is Wuhan-400.  Hardback copies start at around $90.  I was 
lucky to get a new paperback reprint from Britain for less than $10.
