I figured you would say that. ;-) My thought as well. It appears all the shots in a Google search are from low flying planes, and a bit too far up/off to maintain a sense of the large scale while getting a different perspective than on the ground.

I briefly thought about getting a drone a year ago, but it turns out that special permits are required to use one in Bhutan, and v. difficult for tourists to get. As I thought about what targets I might be interested in, I realized there weren't that many, against having yet another bunch of gear along.

One subject that's difficult to get a good angle on is the giant Buddha in Thimpu. It turns out that a long lens shot across the valley works pretty well, short of a drone. <https://photos.app.goo.gl/JKFtHX6Fuq6Nuugs9>
